Spicy Chicken Korma – Pakistani dish

How to Prepare Chicken Korma?

firstly, I’ll explain all the Ingredients that are used in making Korma and then we will move towards recipe. let’s take a look.

Preparation Time:

  • Yield:                  4 servings
  • cooking time :   30 minutes

Ingredients:

  •  Chicken Breasts:                            1 1/2 kg
  • Ginger and Garlic Paste:               1 tbsp
  •  Plain Yogurt:                                   150 g
  •  red chilies:                                        3 dried
  •  Onions, Finely Chopped:              2 medium
  • Cooking Oil:                                      as required
  •  Ground Coriander:                         1 tbsp
  •  ground black pepper:                     a pinch
  • turmeric:                                           1 tsp
  • garam masala:                                  1 tsp
  •  creamed coconut:                            75 g
  • salt:                                                      to taste, a pinch
  •  ground almonds:                             2 tbsp
  • coriander leaves:                              to garnish
  • Kitchen Utensils

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Saucepan with a lid
  • 1 wooden or metal spoon

Method:

        • What you NEED:

          everything is mentioned above, what you want.

        • MARINATE THE CHICKEN

        • Cut the chicken breasts into 2 inch sized pieces.

          In a bowl, mix the chicken with the ginger, garlic, yogurt, salt and spices. Cover and marinade for 3-4 hours or in the fridge overnight.

        • FRY THE ONIONS AND CHILLI

          In a saucepan, heat some oil. Add the onion and chilies and fry for 5 minutes

        • STEP 4: ADD CHICKEN

          Reduce the heat, add the chicken and the marinade. Save some marinade to add later. Stir for 5 minutes

        • Add remaining marinade, cover and cook for 20 minutes.
        • ADD COCONUT MILK AND ALMONDS

          Add the coconut milk and the almonds and simmer for another 10 to 15 minutes

        • STEP 6: ADD MORE YOGHURT AND SIMMER

          Add some more yogurt, cover and leave to simmer for another 10 minutes.
